Product photo to video

Turn a product photo into a product video

Upload one product image, pick a platform ratio, and generate a 4 to 30 second clip without leaving this page. Seedance 2.5 is preselected, output is 480p or 720p, credits are charged per second, and you need an account to generate.

Cette page est en anglais. L'espace de travail, les tarifs et la FAQ sont disponibles en français.

Short answer
  • This is a product-to-video tool: one still photo plus a short motion prompt becomes a 4 to 30 second clip.
  • Seedance 2.5 is the default model: 480p or 720p output, native audio, up to 30 image references.
  • Credits are charged per second of output (15 per second at 480p, 30 at 720p), and the estimate appears before you submit.
  • No subscription is required to buy credits, but you do need an account to generate.

How do you turn a product photo into a video?

Upload the product image, describe the movement you want, and let the selected model animate the frame. The whole flow takes four steps and finishes inside this page.

  1. 01

    Upload a clean product image

Use a sharp, evenly lit photo on a simple background. Text on packaging is the first detail to degrade, so avoid small print if the label must stay readable.

  2. 02

Describe the motion, not the product

The image already carries the product. Use the prompt for the beat: a slow rotation, a lid opening, a hand lifting the item, a light sweep across the surface.

  3. 03

Pick the aspect ratio and length

Choose 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for site and YouTube, 1:1 or 3:4 for feeds. Seedance 2.5 accepts any length from 4 to 30 seconds.

  4. 04

    Check the estimate, then generate

The credit estimate is shown before submission. A 6 second 720p clip costs 180 credits, the same clip at 480p costs 90.

Which model should you use for product footage?

Use Seedance 2.5 when the clip needs to be longer than 15 seconds or needs generated audio; switch to Seedance 2.0 Pro only when the delivery has to be 4K.

ModelLongest single clipOutputFits when
Seedance 2.530 s480p / 720pLongest single take, native audio, up to 30 image references
Seedance 2.0 Pro15 sup to 4KThe final asset has to be 4K
Seedance 2.0 Fast15 s480p / 720pRapid drafts at a lower credit cost
Kling 3.0 Pro15 s1080pA different look, or 1080p without 4K
Veo 3.15 sup to 4KOne short hero shot at 4K
Sora 212 sup to 1080pA different motion style at 1080p

Which aspect ratio should you use?

Match the ratio to the placement before you generate, because reframing a finished clip crops the product. Every ratio below is available in the workspace.

PlacementRatioNote
TikTok, Reels, Shorts9:16Full-screen vertical; keep the product in the middle third
YouTube, site hero, landing page16:9Standard landscape
Feed post1:1Square crop works across most feeds
Portrait feed3:4Taller than square without going full vertical
Presentation, email4:3Legacy ratio for slides and older templates
Cinematic banner21:9Wide crop for headers and OOH mockups
AdaptiveadaptiveThe model chooses per prompt; the result may not be predictable

How do you keep the product looking the same?

Consistency comes from the source image and slow motion, not from the prompt alone.

  • Use a high-resolution, evenly lit photo; the model can only preserve what is visible in the frame.
  • Add reference images when the product appears from more than one angle — Seedance 2.5 accepts up to 30 image references.
  • Use the first-and-last-frame mode when the clip must start and end on a specific composition; it takes one or two images.
  • Keep camera movement slow. Fast moves are where silhouettes and label geometry drift.
  • Check the label frame by frame before a paid campaign; generated text is the least reliable element.

What this page does not do

Being explicit about the gaps saves a wasted generation.

  • No 4K or 10-bit output on Seedance 2.5 — use Seedance 2.0 Pro or Veo 3.1 for 4K.
  • No background removal, compositing or product insertion into existing footage.
  • No automatic captions, voice-over or subtitle burn-in.
  • No batch processing of a SKU catalogue; each generation is submitted one at a time.
  • No licensed music library — Seedance 2.5 generates an audio track with the clip, which is not the same thing.

Product video questions

Can I start from a single product photo?

Yes. Upload one image and describe the motion; the image supplies the subject and the prompt supplies the beat. Adding more reference images improves consistency when the product appears from several angles.

Do I need a subscription to generate a product video?

No. Credits can be bought as one-time packs without a subscription, and subscription plans are optional. Either way you need an account, because generation runs against your credit balance.

How long can a product video be?

Seedance 2.5 renders 4 to 30 seconds in a single generation, selectable per second. Seedance 2.0 tops out at 15 seconds, Veo 3.1 at 5 seconds. Longer sequences are assembled in the long video mode, up to 180 seconds.

What resolution do I get?

Seedance 2.5 outputs 480p or 720p only. 4K is available on Seedance 2.0 Pro and Veo 3.1, and Kling 3.0 Pro outputs 1080p.

How many credits does a product clip cost?

Seedance 2.5 is charged per second: 15 credits per second at 480p and 30 at 720p. A 6 second 720p clip is 180 credits; the same clip at 480p is 90 credits.

Will the label text stay readable?

Not reliably. Text on packaging is the first thing to distort. Shoot the source flat and evenly lit, keep the camera movement slow, and inspect the clip frame by frame before publishing.

Can I make a vertical TikTok or Reels version?

Yes. Choose 9:16 before generating, or generate the same prompt at 16:9 as well and keep both. Generating at the target ratio is better than cropping afterwards.

Does it add music to the video?

Seedance 2.5 can generate a synchronised audio track with the clip. That is generated sound, not a licensed music library, so clear the rights before a commercial campaign.

Can I generate a whole SKU catalogue at once?

Not in this flow. Each generation handles one image and one clip. The public API exposes the pro, fast and mini tiers rather than Seedance 2.5, so bulk automation has to target those tiers.

Can I use the output in paid advertising?

Usage rights depend on your plan and on the model provider's terms as incorporated into the Terms of Service. Read them before a paid campaign, and keep the source images documented.

Key takeaways

  1. 1.Start from one sharp, evenly lit product photo; the source image decides most of the result.
  2. 2.Prompt the motion and the camera, not the product description.
  3. 3.Seedance 2.5 supports 4 to 30 second clips at 480p or 720p with generated audio; 4K needs a different model.
  4. 4.Check the credit estimate before generating, and the label frame by frame before publishing.
